Sylvia Boyer Fancher

Born into a family of performing artists, it has been Sylvia’s life-long love. She acts, sings, and dances. “Once you’ve gotten to the actual performance, it’s done, except for the being nervous part”, she says. “The exciting part is the creative work, and it is work, that goes into the vision and development of the show.”

Prior to joining the Rep, Sylvia acted with the Senior Theatre for three years. The 2003 winner of an Annie for Best Lead Actress for her role as M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias, Sylvia is often seen in the role of ‘Mom’ as she has had memorable roles as Lucille in Cemetery Club and Marme in Little Women. She assists backstage and in the house as well, and was assistant director of A Year With Frog and Toad. Sylvia will be doing grant writing for the Rep.

Judith Cook

Judy’s first role with the Rep was as a character with the improbable name of Cyn Sawyer in a Ms. Murbles murder mystery. That was in 2003. Since then she has been seen in an another eight productions and she has directed two shows: Women on Fire and the critically acclaimed Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me.
Around the Rep, Judy, who prefers acting over directing, is known as the lady with a 1000 faces for her ability to portray a broad variety of characters from a 1940’s gumshoe in The Complete History of America (abridged) to Clairee in Steel Magnolias and Bloody Mary in South Pacific. She was named the Rep’s ANNIE 2006 Best Actress for multiple roles in Complete History (abridged). Judith, who is a nursing supervisor, is a production assistant for the Rep.

Chris Oswald

Before coming to the Rep he worked with Picket Wire Theater in La Junta and the Rocky Ford Community Theater.
He has a BA in Theater \ Communications from Western State College and during his college years he took an academic semester in Africa.
You may not notice Chris as he is usually very quiet, but he has a subtle sense of humor. He received an Annie nomination for his portrayal
of Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace. He has been seen in musicals, dramas and comedies.
In addition to his acting and tech duties this season he will direct Harvey. Chris sometimes does Props for the Rep director,
and in an emergency an occasional stint in the coffee shop.
Chris became a Pride member in 2006.
